‘She delighted audiences’: Romsey Advertiser
Nina Rideout’s playing has been described as “enchanting” and “hauntingly beautiful”.
Nina gave an evening recital, for Romsey Festival 2021, which was well-received. She has also performed at The National Gallery, four times in Romsey Abbey, twice at Mottisfont (National Trust) and in County Hall London.
Nina has played in masterclasses, with such internationally acclaimed performers as Alirio Diaz, David Russell, Craig Ogden, Ana Vidovic, Roland Dyens, Stepan Rak, Ben Verdery and Nigel North.
Her recital performance in Romsey Abbey, of To a Wild Rose, by Edward MacDowell, was selected by The MacDowell Colony website in USA, for display on the composer’s own page.
Nina comes from a very internationally-minded musical family: her parents decided to name their baby after either Nina or Frederik, of the 1960s Danish-Dutch singing duo and so Nina it was! Her mother is Swiss, her father is English, but her surname is of French origin and is pronounced the French way: ‘Ridoo.’
