Saturday 11th July, 10:30 – 16:30
A demonstration and display of the art of English bell ringing. Also known as Whole Circle ringing, this style of ringing was developed in this country from the early 1600s. It is now rung in nearly 7,000 towers in England, 200 in Wales and in just over 100 in the rest of the world.
It is probable that there will be the opportunity, under expert supervision, to have a go on a rope.
In the church there will be a display by the Lockerley Mechanical Society, together with a gathering of classic cars in the church drive.
Free event; no tickets required.
